Meeting Minutes
January 11, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 9:14 AM by Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Michael Genest in the Department of Revenue Administration conference room.

Members Present:        Mr. Genest, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Tenney
Staff Present:  Galen Stearns (Town Administrator), Rob Upton (Town Attorney)

  • The Board met with Stephan Hamilton (Director Property Appraisal Division) and Barbara Robinson (Director Municipal Services Division).  Mr. Upton presented a letter outlining the Town’s interpretation of RSA 72:74 and how we believe the Legislature intended for Payments in Lieu of Taxes is to be calculated for renewable energy facilities.  Mr. Hamilton explained how he interprets the RSA’s concerning how they calculate the equalized valuation that is used to formulate the town’s share to cooperative school districts and to the county.  He stated that they will review our concerns with staff attorneys and respond to us as soon as possible.
  • There being no further business, the Mr. Robertson motioned to adjourn, Mr. Genest 2nd, passed 3/0 meeting adjourned at 10:21 AM.
